RGK Interceptor Titanium Basketball Wheelchair
13 June 2018
This is a child's basketball wheelchair - fixed frame. Made from titanium tubing, so very stiff and strong. Finished in orange, which is now absent from the front guard. anyone who has played wheelchair baskteball will know that paint is not allowed to remain on that part of the chair!
24" Spynergy wheels - black rims, orange spokes and nearly new orange tyres.
Seat measures 30 cm wide. He was a 2.5 pointer, so the bucket is pretty much flat.
My son played in this chair for 4 seasons and loved it ... but sadly outgrew it. He says - I have no reference point! - that it is way better than the RGK Elite that replaced it.
Anyway, it has been in the shed long enough and needs to take another budding young paralympian part way on that journey.
Cost new was something like £3k. It has been well used and well looked after. Other than cosmetic damage to the paintwork - mostly the front guard - this is as good as (nearly) new.
Sure, you can but lookalikes with (weight adding) adjustable axels and anti tips, but this is the real thing. Very light, manoeuvrable and quick.
